Accurate Answers Start With the Right Diagnostics

When something is off with your dog, you want answers, and you want them quickly. Whether they are showing clear symptoms like vomiting or limping, or more subtle signs like changes in appetite, energy, or behavior, the right diagnostics help us understand exactly what is happening so we can move forward with confidence.

At Pet Wellness Group, our diagnostic care for dogs is designed to deliver fast, reliable information through a combination of in-house testing, advanced imaging, and partnerships with trusted reference labs. The goal is always the same: get to the root of the issue and create the best possible treatment plan for your dog.

Routine Screenings for Long-Term Health

Routine bloodwork is one of the most valuable tools we have for catching health concerns early, often before any outward symptoms appear. Our preventative screening panels are tailored to your dog's age, lifestyle, and risk factors, helping us monitor their health year after year.

Our preventative screening services for dogs include:

  • Blood parasite screen (4dx) – Our blood parasite screen includes tests for heartworm and three tick-borne illnesses, including Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichia.
  • Intestinal parasite screens – Fecal screens that test for hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. These tests not only identify potential harmful parasites for your dog, but also those that can be passed on to you and your family.
  • Adult Wellness – As dogs enter their adult years (5 to 6 years), we recommend annual wellness bloodwork to help identify early onset of illness that may not be apparent based on clinical signs or examination.
  • Senior Wellness – Similar to the Adult Wellness panel, we recommend a more comprehensive screen for senior dogs (7 years and older). The Senior Wellness screen is a larger blood panel, along with a urinalysis, to evaluate kidney function and overall health.
