What to Expect
Veterinary Services – Delivered With Courtesy And Respect!
As a client of Pet Wellness Group, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted warmly and placed in an open exam room as soon as possible. One of our friendly veterinary technicians will gather a history profile of your pet and relay to the doctor. Next, one of our experienced veterinarians will thoroughly examine your pet. This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you are comfortable with any treatment plan we’re recommending. Therefore, we will offer an estimate of costs to you prior to beginning any treatments and answer any questions. Lastly, one of our veterinary technicians will return to the exam room and discuss any medications, help with questions, schedule any follow-up appointments and have you check out in the room for your convenience.
We stay current on the latest trends and developments in Veterinary Medicine and would only recommend treatments that we would do for our own pets.
Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.

Low Stress Environment for Your Dog
We are very focused on providing a low stress environment for you and your pet. We understand veterinary visits can cause anxiety. Studies have shown that less anxiety for pets and owners leads to an increase in vet visits, which in turn leads to better health and longevity for your pet. Our goal is to make your dog WANT to come to the vet. We use distraction, praise, and treats, treats, and more treats. It is a good idea to let your pup come to us hungry so that the treats are even more enticing. It’s like going to Grandma’s house – getting special treats they wouldn’t normally get on a daily basis. Our staff is also trained in fear-free techniques for handling and restraint. If needed, we do offer anxiety medications for calming and sedation.
Cat Friendly Practice
We have developed a cat friendly wing at both hospitals to provide the best possible experience for your kitty. We have a separate entrance and lobby waiting area just for cats. We also have a cat suite for our exam room complete with windows and a cat tree. NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN THE CAT SUITE. We also use Feliway pheromone spray to help calm cats and make them feel more at ease while here. We provide treats for distraction (including squeeze cheese which we have found most cats LOVE!). We avoid scruffing cats if at all possible, to limit stress. Our staff is trained in fear-free techniques to aid in handling and restraint. We also offer anxiety medications if needed for calming and sedation.
