Dr. Wilson graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She opened the first Pet Wellness Group location in Florence in 2003 with her husband Andy. They then opened the second location in Hebron in 2016.
Her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are the diversity of treating multiple species, and the ability to practice both medicine and surgery. The most rewarding part of Dr. Wilson’s job is the bonds that she has created with pets and their owners.
Outside of work, Dr. Wilson loves spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, reading and traveling. Dr. Wilson is a native of Florence and lives with her husband, Andy, their three children: Mitchell, Cameron, and Daphne, as well as their dogs Roxie & Jack, and cats Penny, Annie and Ivy.
Dr. Bowen has been part of the Pet Wellness Group family since 2015. She grew up in Brandon, FL. She started her college life at Florida State University, and was able to continue her family's legacy as a performer with the FSU Flying High Circus for 2 years. She then transferred to Auburn University to finish her undergraduate degree in Zoology and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.
One of Dr. Bowen's interests in the veterinary field is supporting the human-to-pet bond with diagnostic work-ups and integrative pain management.
Dr. Bowen has called Northern Kentucky her home for over 20 years. She enjoys watching college sports (Auburn, FSU, UK) and spending time with her husband Scott, her two children and her extended family in Florida.
Dr. Barwell graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Her first four years of practice were as a Veterinary Corps Officer in the US Army Veterinary Corps. She practiced veterinary medicine at Ellsworth AFB, SD and Wright Patterson AFB, OH prior to moving to Northern Kentucky. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, senior/hospice care, and fear free handling. Dr. Barwell completed her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University.
Dr. Barwell grew up in Westerville, OH but currently lives in NKY with her husband, Craig. They have three children, daughters Clare and Brooke and a son Brady along with their two dogs, Oakley and Chase.
Outside of work, Dr. Barwell enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and wine tasting.
Rebekah has been with Pet Wellness Group since 2016, but has been in the veterinary industry since 2012. Rebekah graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2012 and is a registered veterinary technician. Rebekah loves assisting with surgery and helping animals feel relaxed and at home in the clinic.
Rebekah is an excellent teacher! She’s very patient and knowledgeable. She is one of our primary training coordinators for new team members.
Rebekah has two rescue dogs, Shadow and Kyle as well as two rescue kitties Spot and Storm.
Kayley started with Pet Wellness Group in 2017. Kayley’s favorite part of her job is the relationships she gets to create with our clients and their fur babies! She likes working with animals of all ages and species but has a special interest in surgery and dental procedures.
Kayley is a great teammate and asset to Pet Wellness Group!
Kayley has 2 dogs, Daisey & Sofie 2 cats, Fluffers & Dutchess, and a guinea pig, Reid.
Kelsey has been with Pet Wellness Group since 2016 but has been in the veterinary field since 2012. Kelsey’s favorite part of her job is being with our patients through surgery and recovery.
Kelsey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. She also is a master organizer and helps keep our Florence office running like a fine-tuned machine!
Kelsey lives with her husband, Robert, and their children, Airyanah, Parker, and Remi. Her family also includes 2 dogs, Ace and Baron, Kelsey has a passion for the outdoors.
Scarlett started with Pet Wellness Group in October 2011. She loves working with all animals but has a special place in her heart for caring for animals with special needs.
Scarlett wins the award at our clinic for the most animals. She currently lives with her two dogs Beans and Cooper, and her six cats: Sweet Dee, Coal, Liam, Ryan, Artemis, and Maureen.
Melissa is a Registered Veterinary Technician who earned her license in 2003. She moved to KY in 2020 and has been with Pet Wellness Group ever since! She has 3 sons, Joshua, Nikolaus & Reece and 1 grandson, Haidi. Melissa and her husband have 2 dogs: Stewart QT Potter Sr. Cob Squared and Sir C. Kavanaugh III. They also have 3 cats: Pearl Jam, Slim Stanly and Twist the Terrorist. Melissa is a dedicated care giver to her family of people and pets. She has rescued pets and strives to give them the most loving home.
Melissa is our quick-witted, absolutely hilarious vet tech that makes amazing desserts and dishes for our team members! She loves the outdoor attractions and activities in the Northern Ky area. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandson!
Avril is a Registered Veterinary Technician with over 25 years of experience working with animals. She has always had a passion for animals and says that she always knew she would work with them in her life. "As a child, I loved having all different kinds of pets: fish, rabbits, birds, dogs & cats. I wanted to nurse and help them."
Avril enjoys making art, cooking and hiking. She and her husband have 2 French bulldogs, Titus and Ikora.
Kylee brings amazing energy to our clinic! She joined our Pet Wellness Group team in 2021 and her love of learning and helping animals shines brightly through her work. Kylee graduated from Murray State University in 2021 with a Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Technology. She loves radiology and says one of her favorite things to do is to take x-rays and review them with the doctor, but also spending time with her pets at home. We value everything Kylee does for us!
Jamie has been with Pet Wellness Group since 2007 and is one of our most versatile and experienced employees! She started with us as a veterinary technician, and in early 2019 expanded her role and works as one of our practice coordinators several days each week. Jamie is a very positive person and the favorite part of her job is constantly meeting new people and their amazing pets. Jamie’s positive approach helps create a calming atmosphere on many pets and our customers.
Out of the office she loves hanging out with her family, hiking, traveling and watching musicals (especially when her daughters are in them!) You may also see Jamie riding ATV’s with her husband at nearby off-road parks or taking trips in their camper.
You’ll see her smiling face in our Florence office most days!
Jamie has three cats: Pinky, Sabrina & Luna.
Becca has been in the veterinary field for about 5 years. She joined Pet Wellness Group in 2022. Becca is always very helpful with our clients and their pets! She is one of the first smiling faces that you see when you walk through the doors at our Hebron office!Becca has 2 cats, Jade and Gus, and a dog named Penny. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and crafting.
Becca says "I've loved animals since I was a little girl and I've always known that my career would involve taking care of animals, big or small. All animals deserve love from someone even in their last moments with us. I will always strive to be that someone and to be a voice for any critter that may cross my path."
Lisa joined our Pet Wellness Group team in March 2023. She has over 25years experience in the medical field as a dental surgical assistant. Lisa brings so much care and compassion to the pets and their caregivers! She is one of the first friendly faces you will see when you walk in the door of the Florence office. She is a true animal lover and has 2 furry family members, Charlie the Shih tzu & Cooper her Golden Retriever. Lisa loves to spend time with her daughter Brooke, her grandson Hunter, her dogs and her family.
